The traffic lights

15th May, 2009

Spent the early part of the morning canvassing at Doyle’s Corner at Phibsborough. Stood there with my A Boards asking people for their support.

I got such a positive response. People came up to me asking for literature. Others drove by and shouted ‘38%!’ (The figure from the MRBI poll). The misty rain came down early but it didn’t stop the good will of many.

It’s always the hardest part of any campaign. Standing at a set of traffic lights looking for votes in not a completely enjoyable experience. But, today did get off to a good start.
