Gaelscoil Bharra

22nd May, 2009

I attended a public meeting last night on the future of Gaelscoil Bharra. Enda, Mary O’Shea and I visited the school this morning.

The parents, teachers and pupils are mad about the state of their school at the moment. Despite many promises they still do their great work in pre fabs. When we visited the school this morning the pupils were brimming over with confidence and interest. God knows what they would be like if they got what they want.

I brought Enda to the school so that he could see with his own eyes the state of the school. He committed to doing all he could to help. On behalf of the parents and kids I’ll do all I can to make sure this happens.
