24th April, 2014

REAL-TIME BUS TIMETABLE DISPLAYS

The National Transport Authority in conjunction with Dublin City Council is continuing to roll-out its programme of providing Real Time Passenger Information across the City. Real Time Passenger Information is displayed on signs at bus stops and shelters and tells you when your bus is due. As part of this programme four new Real Time Passenger display panels will be installed along the North Strand. These new panels will be erected along the North Strand Road by the summer at the junctions with Bayview Avenue, Strandville Avenue, Waterloo Avenue and at NewcomenBridge.

FUNDING FOR DEVELOPMENT OF YOUTH FACILITIES

The Department of Children recently allocated approximately €1.7m in funding to groups across the Inner City to assist with the development of youth facilities. This money will enable community groups to more effectively direct young people in the area to build more stable and secure futures. Among the groups due to receive funding from the Department of Children include Bradog, St. Agatha’s / SWAN and the East Wall / North Port Youth Development Group that will receive €111,238. Further details of the total level of funding provided to youth groups across the North Inner City are available at http://bit.ly/1lA0ucX.
