The Department of Finance has launched a public consultation on the options for the use of revenues raised by increases in the Carbon Tax.

The Department is undertaking this consultation following the recommendation set out in the final report of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Climate Action (JCCA), Climate Change – a Cross-Party Consensus for Action, published on 29 March 2019.

The consultation is open until 28th June 2019 for all interested parties to submit their views on their preferred options for use of revenues raised from increases in the Carbon Tax rate.
