This application is located at the former CIE Lands at Carnlough Road, off New Cabra Road. The developer has submitted a further application for planning permission on this site. There are some significant changes from the initial application and I have outlined them below. This follows on from a planning meeting which I attended yesterday morning on this application. I am pretty concerned about this application as it appears to be undoing a lot of the change from previous applications and I will be making a submission on this to Dublin City Council.
The key points of the planning application are as follows:-
458 residential units, increased from 402 units in the original plans.
8 apartment blocks between 3 and 7 storeys high. The original application was for blocks between 3 and 6 storeys.
Removal of 61 duplex apartments and 8 terraced three story houses from the plans.
Revised basement car park for 750 spaces.
Changed internal road circulation.
Access road at the eastern boundary of the property to Carnlough Road.
