Construction Work on East Wall Road

29th January, 2009

Last night I met with the Parkside Residents Committee to review issues in relation to construction work on the old cement mixing site (beside North Strand fire station) at the top of East Wall road. The committee briefed all the local politicians on their concerns that the sheer amount of demolition was causing damage to local homes. As always, at meetings like this I was so impressed by the work and approach of the association. They do not want compensation, just repairs.

This work is been led by the Dublin Docklands Authority. I agreed to make representation to them to resolve this issue. A further meeting will be held with residents in February to check progress.
