IMPROVING RENTAL STANDARDS – INVITE TO PUBLIC MEETING (May 2008)

1st May, 2008

Dear Resident,

IMPROVING RENTAL STANDARDS – INVITE TO PUBLIC MEETING

AUGHRIM STREET PARISH CENTRE, MAY 19TH, 8PM.

The quality of private rented accommodation in our community must be improved. Many tenants and neighbours are dealing with issues regarding these properties. New guidelines and legislation for rental accommodation are currently been prepared and I am working to ensure that they deal with the issues we face in our community.

I am therefore organising a PUBLIC MEETING ON THE NEED FOR IMPROVED RENTAL STANDARDS IN AUGHRIM STREET PARISH CENTRE, PRUSSIA STREET ON MONDAY MAY 19TH AT 8PM. Representatives from Threshold and the Private Residential Tenancies Board will be attending this meeting.

At the end of the meeting, we will agree the key priorities that must be dealt with in the new guidelines and law. The meeting will conclude by 9.30pm at the latest. I would be grateful if you could attend.

If you cannot attend the meeting but would like a particular issue raised please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards,

Paschal Donohoe
