I spent yesterday afternoon in the Oireachtas Transport Committee discussing the Dublin Bus cuts. The main thing that I established is that big reductions in bus frequency will be announced in the coming weeks.
These may include cuts in the Monday – Thursday Night Link service. I will work with my colleague Fergus O’Dowd TD to have these services restored.
I heard, to my amazement, this morning that the Government is publishing a Sustainable Transport Strategy today. In the same week they announce a cut back in bus services, is this a definition of political neck?
