Minister Donohoe opens FBD Insurance’s first Sales Office in central Dublin

1st December, 2017

Minister for Finance & Public Expenditure and Reform, Mr Paschal Donohoe TD today officially opened FBD Insurance’s first local sales office in Dublin.

FBD provides tailor-made protection for small and medium business owners through specialised business insurance experts and this new sales office is a Business Insurance Hub. With strong relationships with the Irish business sector, particularly with SMEs, FBD has further plans for growth in this underserved and highly important sector of the Irish economy.

Speaking at the opening, CEO Fiona Muldoon said;

“We are delighted to open our first sales office in Dublin, in response to our customers’ requirements and our growing relevance in Dublin as a specialised small and medium business insurance provider. This is a significant investment in both our sales office branch network and in our customer relationships. Face to face is how we believe our commercial customers want to do business with us. FBD is committed to the small business sector as a vital sector of the Irish economy whose insurance needs we know and understand.

We are also continuing to improve and expand our products for Ireland’s small businesses.  Last month we launched both a Professional Indemnity product and a Directors & Officers Liability product specifically for small businesses. These are in addition to our best in class products in property, public and employer’s liability and our great pension, fleet and other products.

Our Dublin Manager, David O’Hanlon and his team look forward to welcoming both existing and Dublin customers to our Drumcondra Sales Office. Given its great location, some of our customers from the rest of the country may even drop in on the road to Croke Park every year!”

Minister Donohoe said;

I am delighted to officially open FBD’s first Dublin sales office here in Drumcondra. This move is great news not only for local business people but also for consumers. It also demonstrates the attractiveness of Drumcondra as a base for businesses of all sizes. FBD is a well-established brand in Ireland and the decision to open the first Dublin office signals the strength of the company which I have no doubt will grow further in the years to come. I wish them every success.

FBD is Ireland’s largest indigenous Insurer, looking after the insurance needs of business owners, consumers and farmers throughout Ireland in branches, online and by phone. It has an established nationwide network of 33 sales offices and a Sales Service Centre in Mullingar.
