Please find below a copy of my Oireachtas report on Sovereign Wealth Funds for the EU Affairs Joint Committee. These are state owned investment vehicles. They are worth between $2 and $3 trillion and are likely to overtake hedge funds as players in the global economy in the next few years. They pose challenges and opportunities to Ireland and the European Union. This report looks at all of this and makes relevant recommendations.
The report was sent to the Tanaiste, the Minister for Finance and the Oireachtas Finance Committee.
