The Tanaiste has been in the middle of a political vortex over the last number of days. I’ve been raising her views and comments on the Order of Business over the last 2 days. Not on Ryanair though.
My main point was in relation to her comments on young people going abroad looking for work. This was in an interview with the BBC on Tuesday night.
She alleged that many are leaving for fun, that going abroad with a PHD or degree is no bad thing and that it’s an entitlement to leave our country.
I raised this yesterday and today on the Order of Business. I had to leave our country looking for a job and I can still remember the loneliness of arriving at Heathrow. She is the wrong person, in the wrong job at the wrong time for our country.
