On the order of business today I asked if the entire AIB Chief Executive appointment was not a set up? I stated that the deal was already clear, the bank would get who they want at a lower wage. The big thing the banks want is their man, with their corporate governance arrangements in place. The wages are a smokescreen for making this happen.
Events of this afternoon have proven me, I suspect, correct. The bank now have their guy. Time after time the government have said we must change the culture of Irish banking.
