Local Gardai, following discussions with the Grangegorman Development Agency and DIT, have established a ‘Campus Watch’ operation in preparation for the opening of the DIT campus in Grangegorman this coming September. Approximately 1,000 students and 150 staff are expected to begin the new academic year in Grangegorman. A concerted effort has been made to put in place procedures and structures in advance of the campus opening in order to allay any fears local residents may have in respect of anti-social behaviour. Both Councillor Ray McAdam and I will work to keep you updated of progress made with this operation.
