Donohoe welcomes further jobs boost for Dublin with Shaw announcement

29th January, 2016

Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport and Fine Gael TD for Dublin Central, Paschal Donohoe, has welcomed the announcement today (Friday) of 40 new jobs at the Irish technology company Shaw Academy. This comes as the company following the confirmation by Shaw that they have created a further 60 jobs in recent months at its premises in East Point.
“This announcement is not only good news for Dublin Central, but is a sign of the continued economic recovery throughout the country. This is just one example of recent jobs announcements, joining others such as Kama Games, Workday and Valeo Foods that highlight how far we have come in a few short years. These are high quality jobs in a high tech, ground breaking company which is supporting other SMEs and helping them to develop and grow.

“Fine Gael has a long term economic plan designed to keep the recovery going which will ensure we can continue to make these kinds of investments. The plan has three steps: more and better jobs, making work pay more than welfare, and investment in better public services, which will only be possible as a result of the increased revenue generated by creating more jobs. This plan will ensure that more people feel the benefits of a recovering economy in their own lives.”
