IMF and the Order of Business

10th November, 2010

That organisation came up again today. Many members commented on the possibility of the IMF and the European Commission playing a role in running our economic affairs. I made the point that the entry of this organisation would have a terrible impact on our international reputation.

We are hugely dependent on our credibility to draw in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). This credibility would take a terrible hammering if we have to access this fund. We must do all we can to avoid this.

Senator Harris hammered RTE, there was also an excellent debate in relation to honouring those who lost their lives in WW1.
