In 2015, the Government decided a national procurement solution was required to address urgent housing needs. The OGP led a multi-disciplinary, cross function team to successfully deliver a National Framework for rapid build housing, comprising design and build contractors throughout the State.

Welcoming the news, Minister Donohoe said: ‘The Government has a goal of increasing the professionalisation of public procurement. Since it was established in 2013, the OGP has been at the forefront of public procurement best practice in Ireland and it is a significant achievement for the OGP to have industry recognition for delivery of high quality procurement solutions.’

Minister of State O’Donovan said: ‘I welcome the news that the OGP won two awards yesterday evening. An estimated €6billion of procurement addressable spend falls within the remit of the OGP and its sourcing partners.
