Minister Donohoe to chair first meeting as President of the Eurogroup

The Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe T.D. will this week (Friday) chair his first meeting as the new President of the Eurogroup. The meeting will take place as part of the Informal Meeting of EU Ministers for Economic and Financial Affairs and Eurogroup meeting in Berlin.

The press conference will begin at 10.30am (Irish time) and will last for approximately 30 minutes. The Eurogroup meeting will discuss topics including a stock-take of the economic situation and policy response and recovery needs after the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Minister Donohoe was elected as President of the Eurogroup of Finance Ministers on Thursday, 9th July. His term commenced on 13 July, and he will serve for 2.5 years in the role.
