The bliss of it all

13th June, 2009

It’s a Saturday morning and I am not rushing out to for a canvass or leaflet drop. The best part of the bye election been finished is that I have most of my weekends back. Don’t have to stand outside masses or shopping centres.

I am attending a family day this afternoon for Gaelscoil Bharra. I’ve agreed to go into the stocks for the school and be pelted with sponges. All in the name of a good cause. But this is the only political duty of the
day! I don’t know myself!

So I’m sitting in the house, Leonard Cohen is playing and I’m about to kickball in the back garden with the kids. The bliss of it all!
